10. Yvonne E. Schwartz

Yvonne E. Schwartz founder and President of YES Mobile Catering only imagined a company of her own. Then in January of 1991 she found herself out of work after refusing to sign an employment contract. The contract gave no benefits and only poor wages with a company that had already changed the pay scale 2 times in the year and half she was employed there. The job market was poor in Elkhart County due to the impact of Desert Storm so the time was right to stike out on her own. She started YES the first day with 13 accounts with the help of her husband Dan. Yvonne drove a sales route for years while running the company and moving towards expansion. She does not pretend to have accomplished it all and is first to say without the help of her husband Dan and parents Vernon J. & G. Berdine Frey she most certainly would have faltered. She credits her accomplishments to her family. " My parents taught me the work ethic right along with a great faith in God." Yvonne and her husband reside in Goshen and attend Rock Run Church of the Brethren. Yvonne is also on the Board of Directors for the Mobile Caterers Association, International.
11. Dan Schwartz
Dan Schwartz founding Board of Director member and Acting Operations Manager for YES Mobile Catering has been there since before the beginning, when YES was just an idea. Dan was on board the first day of business on February 18, 1991. Their first stop was Timberwolf Trailers, CR 3, in Elkhart, IN. Dan helped Yvonne load her truck in the morning at the facility of WG Custom Catering, the company who first produced all the food for YES. YES grew so fast the first year and WG Custom Catering grew so fast owner Wanda Gall, asked YES to start producing their own food. So in December of 1991 Dan started running the grill in the mornings at YES' first new licensed facility before going to his job at Fidler Ready Mix. Then after returning home from a 12-14 hour day at Fidler he would do any trucks repairs and service work as needed. Dan then changed jobs and worked at Van America's Park Model Plant, Quail Ridge, for Pat Williams so he would have more hours in the day to help with the family business. One day when Dan was at the YES truck he heard the FM radio blaring about one of the YES trucks on fire at Valmont Industries on Charlotte Ave., Elkhart. That was the day he made a decision to join YES full time as Operations Manager. Dan also acted as contractor for construction of the facility at the Maple City Industrial Park. Dan is currently in the process of planning the current facility expansion, to better serve the ever-increasing customer base. Dan & Yvonne live in Goshen and attend the Rock Run Church of the Brethren. Dan also actively serves on the Board of Directors for Sonshine Daycare Ministry in Millersburg and the Rock Run Church of the Brethren Board.
